The Rift Platform is the “Shopify App Store for AI Agents” - it lists and sells AI modules that will allow anyone to supercharge their AI agent and seamlessly give it skills ranging from validating blockchain nodes to creating and selling NFT art on a custom storefront, and much more. The problem today is that most of these AI agents are financially dumb immediately post-launch (e.g. only being able to post on X) and making them “smart” requires significant development effort and specialized knowledge. The Rift Platform aims to seamlessly give these agents the skills needed to actually become real revenue-generating entities and manage their treasuries with minimal development effort.
The Rift Platform is complimentary to existing agent launchpads (e.g. Virtuals), where a user can bring their existing agent into the Rift Platform to give it new skills with minimal time and effort required. In order to do this, they “import” their agent, select modules (the equivalent of Shopify Plugins), and activate these modules with a few clicks. The Rift Platform’s initial modules are contributed by the Faraway Platform, which powers some of the largest web3 games including Dookey Dash, Serum City, Shatterline, Villains, Legends of the Mara, and more.
In the future, other developers will be able to submit new modules to be incorporated into the Rift Platform - each of these modules will be tokenized and monetized on the platform. Module developers will be able to monetize these modules by charging each agent that leverages them a monthly fee denominated in USD that the agent would pay out of its embedded treasury wallet. Module developers can elect to receive payment in either USDC or in the module's native token (note that cost to the consumer is always denominated in USD).
Onboarding onto the Rift Platform as an existing agent looks something like this:
Import your Agent: Import your existing AI agent into the Rift Platform, where it will automatically be given a self-custodial embedded wallet that acts as its treasury.
Purchase a Module: Agents using a module must pay a monthly fee to activate the Module. This fee is automatically deducted from the agent’s treasury.
Supercharge your Agent: Activate modules on your agent to activate swarm functionality with a few clicks.
The Rift Platform will be multi-chain (EVM + Solana); however, all agent operations will be recorded and verified on FCHAIN, a Layer 1 blockchain with zero gas costs for partner projects like the Rift Platform.
